The Patrick County Genealogy Society meets the third Tuesday night of each month except November at 6:30 p.m. at the John D. Hooker Memorial Building at Rotary Field on Woodland Drive in Stuart. The November meeting is our Annual Sharing Meeting and begins at 6:00 p.m. with a covered dish meal and sharing of family pictures, family trees, etc. We have no meeting in December. Our meetings are open to everyone.
Membership dues for the year begin September 1st and end August 31st and are $20 for single, $25 for family. You may request a membership form by mail or send your dues to: Patrick County Genealogy Society, P.O. Box 1016, Stuart VA 24171. Be sure to include the families and family names you are working on, and email if you have it. Anyone joining the Society will receive 4 issues of our newsletter, "PATRICK COUNTY TRACKS," which is published in November, February, May and August.
The Patrick County Genealogy Society now has a Genealogical Library available for use of its members. Research books will also be available at the PCGS meetings of which you may make copies at 15 cents a page for members and nonmembers. We will be happy to conduct a limited genealogical search for nonmembers. Nonmembers must include a Self Addressed Stamp Envelope with adequate postage and provisions for copies. We also suggest that nonmembers make a small donation or share their research material with us in return for our research time.
